| UPH Career Development and Alumni Center (CDAC) in collaboration with PT Lautan Luas Tbk. organized a seminar for UPH students and alumni themed ?www for career: Work, Word, Wardrobe.? This seminar prepared students with basic business etiquette in order to survive at work. This career class was held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 in D 503 at 9 a.m.
About 43 participants came to join the class. The class was opened by UPH Lecturer Roy Rondonuwu with a game. The game tested participants? ability to listen to message correctly. Soon after, representatives from PT Lautan Luas Tbk., Victoria and Risma started the presentation. Participants were at first introduced to the company profile. The participants were taught how to behave, speak, and dress properly in order to adapt well with co-workers. Ethics concerns about what is right, acceptable, and above board. It is the collection of the right attitudes, right values, correct behaviors, and respect for others. Etiquette is strongly related to social behavior. The acceptable social behavior at work is the main subject of the presentation. So, in order to be accepted and work well at the office, we should know this etiquette. (dee) UPH Media Relations |
