UPH International Community for Students (ICS) was finally launched on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at FJ Food Square. This is the place for both international and local students to hang out and share their stories. So for those ? international students ? who?ve been wondering what they should do after classes, here is the answer.

?We established the community last year, but we are launching it now. The grand launching will be done on UPH Festival,? said Natalia Fifi Budiman, BA, BSc., Director of International Relations. The community was dedicated to not only international students, but also for local students. ?We want the international students to feel at home here in UPH. They can mingle with the local students. The local students also can learn about various international programs and other culture,? explained Fifi.

Several programs were planned to be organized by this new community. Some of them were Kongkow Night, Wisata Nusantara, International Festival, Jalan-Jalan Kota, and Farewell Party. Also, the community will organize a weekly meeting for the members.

Vice President for University Development and External Relations Dr. John J. Lee expressed his excitement and support for ICS at the soft launching event. He also said that he would join the programs of ICS.

About 42 students have registered to be the members of ICS. If you?re interested or have any inquiries about the community, you can access them via Facebook on UPH International Club account. (dee)
