UPH held the ?Breaking the Sales Barrier? Seminar

On Tuesday, June 21, 2011, UPH organized a seminar entitled?Breaking the Sales Barrier? at UPH Graduate Campus, Plaza Semanggi Jakarta.

On Tuesday, June 21, 2011, UPH organized a seminar entitled?Breaking the Sales Barrier? at UPH Graduate Campus, Plaza Semanggi Jakarta. This seminar was the first event of the business forum program organized by UPH in order to improve the public knowledge on business and marketing area. Seminar series and further workshop will be held monthly.

In this seminar, UPH invited speaker S. Budisuharto, Director of Business Development Siloam Hospitals and Alex Mulya as the moderator, business speaker and author. The seminar started at 16.30 was divided into 2 sessions: clinic session, meal and seminar sessions. The purpose of this seminar is to provide knowledge for the public about the importance of the concept of smart business and professional practice to improve business performance.

The research shows that 80 percent of failure comes from ineffective sales methods. Therefore, smart and professional concept and business practice will produce more effective performances. By learning the method that will produce an effective performance, the failure can be prevented.

In the clinic session, Alex Mulya provided series of interactive games so 79 participants that joined the seminar can detect their type of communication models. ?It is important for sales practitioner to know what kind of our communication models and people that we meet.? said him. By knowing our communication models and people?s that we meet, communication in the business will be more effective. Alex also gave some tricks in dealing with people with certain types of communication to make it effective.  

The seminar session was delivered by Budisuharto presented knowledge about strategies and ways to break the sales barriers. He told the importance of setting target at work. Target can lead the person in clear direction, motivate, accelerate the work, maximize the potential, and strengthen the person in life. In this session, there were 107 participants from various companies.

The business forum programs are also UPH?s corporate social responsibility in enhancing the competitiveness and public competence in business. ?We want to train and educate the participants to be able to do business in the right way.
