Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) held the second seminar of business fourm program. As the follow-up of ?Breaking the Sales Barrier? seminar last month, on Friday, July 22, 2011, UPH organized ?Challengin the Big Brands? seminar at UPH Graduate Campus, Plaza Semanggi, Jakarta. With speaker Hasnul Suhaimi, CEO of XL Axiata, this seminar discussed several tips and tricks to challenge big brands.
Starting at 5 p.m., Alex Mulya, speaker and author, explained to approximately 60 participants what brand is in clinic session. ?Brand is value indicator. Good brand is like a diamond,? explained him. There were several criteria to create a strong brand such as geographical area, product attribute, customer?s advantage, price, competitor, user, usage, personality, and endorsement. |

The second session was started at 7 p.m. after dinner and networking session. With Hasnul Suhaimi, approximately 130 participants was encouraged to create strategy in order to challenge the big brands. ?We have to know who our competitors are. Then we prepare the lighthouse and the strategy. We then sacrifice everything, do it with wholeheartedly so that we can see the result,? said Hasnul. ?In general, if we want to challenge the market leader, we have to be ready. We have to be smarter and more flexible,? he explained. |
