From Thursday-Saturday, October 13-15, 2011, UPH English Education held the first The Eagle Trophy. These English seminar and competitions were held at UPH, to introduce UPH English Education to high school students.
“Hopefully, through this event, there will be more high school students who know and are interested about English Education,” said Novia, the registration and publication coordinator of The Eagle Trophy 2011. Recognizing the important role of English in globalization era, the committee held a spelling bee and translation competition, joined by about 40 high school students.
On the grand final held on October 15, 2011, Melvin Sutrisno from SMAK IPEKA Tomang became the first winner in the translation competition and Victor Febriant from UPH College became the first runner-up.
