For the second time, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) in cooperation with Floorball Indonesia, EMAX, Lenovo, and Sockwa held a floorball coaching clinic and tournament for high school students on Wednesday, February 29 ? Saturday, February 3, 2012 at UPH Futsal Stadium. This event was organized to promote the Swedish sports to Indonesians.
Approximately 100 students and sports teachers from 12 high schools joined the event. Floorball coaches from Floorball Indonesia taught the students the rules of game, technique, and the tactic while the sports teachers were trained to be a good floorball referees. Leni, the representative from Floorball Indonesia, said that many people in Indonesia have not known this sports. ?We brought this sports in 2009 and it was registered in KONI. And from then, we try to promote the sports to students,? she told. Floorball that features 5 players with 1 goalkeeper was made specially to educate children.
