UPH Doctor of Law Program Accredited B

According to the decision of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education on February 3, 2012, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Doctor of Law Program accredited B until 2017.

According to the decision of the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education on February 3, 2012, Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) Doctor of Law Program accredited B until 2017. UPH Faculty of Law celebrated this achievement on Monday, March 12, 2012 at UPH Campus, Lippo Village.
 
 In this event, two books from the dissertation of Doctor of Law alumni Dr. Agus Budianto, SH., M.Hum.?s  and Prof. Dr. Dr. dr. Eka Wahjoepramono, SpBS?s were launched. Those books were Delik Suap Korporasi di Indonesia dan Konsekuensi (Crime of Corporate Bribery and its Consequences in Indonesia) and Konsekuensi Hukum Profesi Medik di Indonesia (Legal Consequences of Medical Profession in Indonesia). Besides these two alumni, other alumni who have published their dissertations included Hinca IP Pandjaitan with Kedaulatan Negara VS Kedaulatan FIFA (State Sovereignty VS FIFA Sovereignty) and Rusli Pandika Sanksi Dagang Unilateral di Bawah Sistem Hukum WTO (Unilateral Trade Sanctions Under the WTO Legal System), while other dissertations are now in the publishing process to avoid plagiarism and follow the government regulations.
 
Agus Budianto?s book tells about the cases of corporate crimes happened in Indonesia that has never been criminalized. The subject of law is usually the CEOs or directors. If the corporate was criminalized, the state could receive revenue from the corporate?s fine.
 
Eka Wahjoepramono?s book, on the other hand, tells about the nature of medical profession that needs to be restored. The medical profession is now threatened by law due to unprofessional lawyers or doctors. People can easily sue doctors and it forces doctors to protect themselves.
 
This doctor of law program has inaugurated 13 alumni. One of the alumni was the President of the Philippines HE. Benigno S. Aquino III.
 
In his opening speech, UPH Rector Jonathan L. Parapak mentioned his gratitude and happiness. ?The University is very proud of your achievement. We pray the this program can be the best and blessing for Indonesia,? he stated. (dee)
