Student Executive Board UPH Donates 558 Blood Bags to Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Tangerang

Student Executive Board UPH period 2012/2013 led by Raymond Aditya (Architecture 2009) targetted 600 blood bags to support Indonesian Red Cross Tangerang chapter. This program executed in three timeline, the first one on 23 – 24 October 2012, the second one on 21-22 January 2013, and the last one on next April 2013. According to coordinator of Blood Donors led by members of Student Executive Board, Nazla Ananda (FK 2010), UPH students and staff?s responses are very good. In average, there are lineups to donor bloods for more than 400 students, and 70-80% of them are accepted to give blood donor.

Refer to the report of blood donor from the first phase, 308 blood bags collected and in second phase, 250 blood bags collected. ?Seeing the big enthusiasm from UPH donors, I am optimistic that 600 blood bags target will be reached, and maybe exceeded the target,? said Nazla.

The majority of donors are UPH students, and others are staffs, lecturers, and residents around campus. This Blood Donors take place at Plaza D hall, 5th Floor, and in Medical School campus (FK UPH). For the first seventy five donors will get free glucose test. This promo is quite effective to attracts donors. (rh)
