Corban University Board of Trustees? Visit to UPH-TC

The cooperation between UPH TC and Corban University is expected to be fruitful so it may improve the quality of the lecturers and students in UPH TC and thus giving a better quality of education in Indonesia.

On Tuesday, May 28 2013, Corban University once again held a visit to the UPH-TC. The delegation Board of Trustee consisted of Sheldon Nord, Matt Lucas, Janine Allen, Mike Patterson, Douglas Beals, Kevin Wayne Brubaker, Joseph Duncan Campbell, Tom Carlson, James Curtis Horton, Ellen Louise McBee, Stephen Edward McBee, Patricia Lucile Nicholson, Kathryn Patterson, Michael Lee Patterson, Jesse Payne, Audra Pritchett, Bob Pritchett, Paul Douglas Rawlins, Erhardt Fritz Steinborn, Evelyn Joyce Steinborn, Gary Williamson, Patti Williamson, and Richard Withnell.

The heads, lecturers, and staff of UPH-TC welcomed them warmly and among them were the Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs, Connie Rasilim; The Head of Academic Department, Timothy Drown; Director of Administration, Erwin Widodo; Head of Students? Services, and Novel Priyatna. The visit of Corban University this time was to be acquainted more closely with the UPH-TC?s lecturers as well having dialogue on the transformation process of education in TC. The visiting group is also scheduled to attend the Commissioning Service of TC that is going to be held on Friday, May 31 2013.

   

Novel Priyatna, The Head of Students? Services Department, said that one of the aims of Corban University?s visit is to discuss the cooperation between these two universities. This cooperation is related to the development of Christian Teachers with the international standard. ?The cooperation is in line with the TC?s mission that is to develop Christian Teachers who are responsive, reflective, and responsible with international standards where they are able to teach in Indonesia cultural context as well as having a holistic understanding of students? learning process,? explained Novel. ?And not only that, Corban University also becomes partner for TC and helps us in achieving the North Western accreditation (NWCCU) and training for the TC?s lecturers and staff,? she added.
