UPH Communication of Faculty of Social and Political Science once again wrote down a record in Museum Rekor with the award MURI biggest clapperboard or Giant Clap on March 1, 2014. This achievement is announced in the opening event of the biggest annual Communication event, the 2014 Communication Avenue (Comvee) 2014, on March 3, 2014.
The making of Giant Clap is one of the representations of the 2014 Comvee theme, ?CommuniCreation? or ?Communicate Your Creation?. Communication Student Council?s effort in this creation has garnered much positive responses.
The idea behind Giant Clap is proposed by the innovative media division of the committee with support from Groovy Event Organizer. Clapperboard, or clap, is a tool that is used during the movie production as a sign to adjust and synchronize in the film editing stage. A clap helps the production process of a movie, which also a type of mass communication media. Therefore, the committee decided to create clap, a seemingly simple tool but has an important role in terms of communication.
It takes one week to make the 3 x 4 meter Giant Clap. The process started from research, registration to Museum Rekor, evaluation until finally MURI granted the certification for the 2014 Comvee committee?s creation.
Communication Department as well as Universitas Pelita Harapan is very proud for this outstanding achievement. (ca)
