To prepare the finalists for Grand Final Miss UPH 2014 ?Reflect Your True Beauty?, the committee had organized several classes to develop the quality of every finalist, inner character and outer appearance. The development classes were held on Saturday (1/3), from 07.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.

The class began with ?Character and Personality Class? presented by Janni Hardjono, one of VIP Development Center trainers. She shared some tips on how to look interesting as a woman. Janni explained that as a woman, one should understand theirselves, particularly our own pluses and minuses. Therefore, we can reflect on our bad habit and evaluate ourselves into a better one.

Next, Rosse Hutapea, PR from Universitas Pelita Harapan, continued the session with ?Mengenal UPH Lebih Dekat? (Getting Know UPH More Closely). Rosse shared all there is to know about UPH, from its history and establishment, vision, mission, facilities, study programs to the latest development. This presentation is very useful for finalists as they are going to be the ambassador of UPH.

Before starting her presentation, Rosse asked four of the finalists to share everything they know about UPH. Most of them could only describe a little part of UPH. ?I can somehow understand why they could only explained this far. This is probably because most of the finalists are still new students. I hope the information that I share today can make the finalists understand more about UPH so that they can share the very same knowledge to other people. Actually, most of UPH general information can be seen at UPH website,? commented Rosse after her session had finished.

The third class was Fashion Class by Jessy Kusno (Owner of Repetio) and Robert Rudini (Owner of Muha Space). The purpose of this class is to improve the finalists? style by wearing the right outfits that look good on them so that they can perform at their best. After the Fashion Class, Jessy Kusno and Robert Rudini also held a fashion stylist competition.

It is imperative for the finalists to be proficient in argumentative skills so that they can clearly express their thoughts to the audience. In this fourth class, Mr. Andrew from El John Company shared some of his tips for the finalists on how to skillfully convey their arguments and thoughts.

Another important component that Miss UPH finalists should know is how to appreciate Indonesia culture and tourism. Thus, Dr. Johnnie Sugiarto shared some of his knowledge. Not only that, he also invited the representative of Miss Earth and Putri Pariwisata Indonesia. Finalists were also learning how to properly walk on top of the catwalk from Jinni Lavenia (Miss Lifestyle 2013) and Denalta Eunike (Miss Indonesia, Maluku Representative).

The series of classes ended with a health presentation on cervical cancer by Dr. Issabela Silaen. This class is to impart essential information about the harm of cervical cancer
