On Wednesday, March 19 2014, UPH Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) introduced its brand new program ?Vocational Schools Graduate Program? to the students of SMK Telkom Jakarta. This program is held with the cooperation from PT Multipolar Technology, Tbk. and equivalent to 1-year diploma program.
321 students of grade 12 came to watch presentation from UPH FIK and PT. Multipolar Technology, Tbk. Aside from the program presentation, PT. Multipolar Technology also described its company profile as well as career opportunities for the graduates. Participants showed enthusiasm and even some of them were interested to enroll.
UPH FIK opens this 1-year-diploma-equivalent program as a breakthrough to bridge the gap between industry and academic world and to answer the increasing demand of professional workers. The program curriculum has been adjusted to companies? needs so that students will learn the necessary knowledge within one year. Moreover, this knowledge is also directly applicable in PT Multipolar Technology, Tbk. projects.
This program has just been opened on August 2013 and will have its first batch of graduates later on July 2014. The second batch will start studying on August 2014.
