The Launching of ICON Magazine 10th Edition

UPH Communication Student Council launched of 10th edition Communication Magazine, ICON on Wednesday, 26 March 2014, at Caf? of Arts, UPH.

UPH Communication Student Council held the launching of 10th edition Communication Magazine, ICON on Wednesday, March 26 2014, at Caf? of Arts, UPH. This magazine is one example of hard work that the Public Relation Division of Communication did.
 
 ICON is a project for the communication students to apply their skill in real life to create a medium that is informative and also interesting to read and appropriate to be published in public.

The launching of 10th edition of ICON magazine was enlivened by several events such as fashion show, music performance by Janice and Jessica Gunawan. All of these talented people are communication students too. This magazine is successfully showing their consistency until now to give the public a better media that it?s interesting and innovative about Communication, not only to UPH students but also to other outside communities.
 
 This year, the theme that the magazine chooses is DigiTen: New Tech, New Act. ?The technology development nowadays, is automatically changed how people act towards their social life. Therefore, ICON hopes this theme will motivates the public to do something positive through the new technology.? explained Kresensiana Yovita, the head of committee of ICON 10th magazine

 

Maria Rahajeng, Miss Indonesia 2014 also the alumni of Communication, was chosen to the picture cover of the 10th edition magazine because of her outstanding achievements that not only brag the Communication major, but also all of the Indonesian citizen. She also shared her opinion of technology that it was made to facilitate the user. So, she reminded us to use the technology wisely.
 
During six whole months, all committees of ICON magazine, which is 32 people from Communication batch 2011-2013, experience a long and hard process to publish 2000 copies of the magazines to be spread all over UPH and also the outside communities.

Each division has given their best effort, starting from editorial team that wrote every article and also the team that design the content of the magazine with the non editorial team that had work hard not only finding sponsor to fund the magazine itself, but also to finish the last step of publishing and producing the magazine.
