Student association of Industrial Engineering UPH hold their annual event, the 6th Engineering Festival and Competition (EfiCn) on 6 May- 11 May 2014. With the Theme of ?Advancing National Economy through Auto Industry? to recall the importance of industry role, specifically automotive industry in developing the economy growth in Indonesia.
By presenting the 6th EfiCn, the student association wants to introduce industrial engineering to the public, by training students to enrich their insight in the industrial engineering field, develop networking with the industrial engineering students from various universities.
From, 6 May to 9 May 2014, EfiCn 2014 has planned various activities such as national competition, and seminar that will be held in UPH campus. Something that makes this event different from the previous year is that one of the programs will be held outside UPH, is in Supermall Karawaci, therefore it will attract more public attention to the event.
EFiCn 2014 was opened with the flashmob dance performance by all the committees to welcome participants and all UPH students that are participating in the event. The event was started with a national trivia quiz which was attended by 17 team from 13 different campuses in Indonesia such as UI, ITB, UGM, ITENAS, Atmadjaya, Unpar, Undip, including UPH.

Each team consisted by 3 person that will compete throughout three elimination rounds that include multiple questions, essay, and trivia quiz. The participants will be examined by measuring their knowledge about industrial engineering. After passing throughout these elimination arounds, there will be the 5 best selected teams to enter the final around on Friday, 9 May, 2014.
Furthermore, there was a seminar with the theme of ?How We (Indonesian) Compete in Global Trade via Supply Chain Management/Logistic?. This seminar invited Ricky Rizky, M. SC, as Business Dev. Director at RAYSPEED PROJECT which is also an alumni of Industrial Engineering UPH. This seminar was held at 1 pm to 3 pm in Building D 502.
The second session of the seminar brought a topic about ?Service Excellence?. The seminar was spoken by Andri Panjaitan, Administration Director of Science and Technology Faculty, which was held on 7 May 2014 at Building D 502, UPH.
EFiCn 2014 is also holding an automotive bazaar and automotive modification competition at North Parking Supermall Karawaci on 10 May-11 May 2014. To brighten the atmosphere of the event there will be a modern dance and a DJ performance on the last two days of EFiCn. (ca/pris)
