UPH Festival 22 has ended, but the merriness is still remembered by all academic members of UPH especially the 4000 new students. UPH Festival Closing Ceremony was held on August 22, 2015 at UPH soccer field.
The peak event of UPH Festival 22 was very festive and touching. Approximately 4500 people consisted of new students, staff, and lecturer of UPH got involved in the human configuration performance entitled ?Oaks of Righteousness,? which is the tree that God plants to state His glory, accordant with the theme of UPH Festival 22, Grow Deeper. The 20 minutes configuration reflected a story about the seed that planted in a fertile ground. With perseverance and patience, the seed is planted, sprout, and root through many challenges, and eventually grow to be a strong tree. The seed experiences all the growth from the perfect and true source that was illustrated with sun, which enables the tree to bear fruit. In the end, the configuration formed the logo of UPH Festival 22 ?Grow Deeper?.
Through the performance of human configuration, the participants of UPH Festival 22 are expected to live, grow, and get through a dynamic process to achieve complete maturity with God?s guidance.
The message of the performance was delivered by Rector of UPH, Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak M.Eng. Sc., in his closing speech. He motivated the new students and academic members of UPH to commit to keep holding on the truth that grows in every aspect to Him, from the beginning of academic year to the end of academic year, even until the finish line of this life.
Appreciating the human configuration performance, all audiences responded with amazement and big applauses. The event was closed with music performance by UPH Conservatory of Music POP Orchestra, led by Bobby Limijaya, lecturer of CoM UPH. They performed popular pop and jazz songs arrangement along with the creative multimedia that followed the beat and rhythm, which beautified the performance. The opening song ?TO GOD BE THE GLORY? reminded everyone that what happened in UPH Festival was not only euphoria, but it was all dedicated for God?s glory. (fc/nn)
