UPH Accounting Students Won Second Place at the 2015 CPA Australia Competition

The competition was held at Sampoerna Building, Jakarta on Saturday, 30 August 2015

Accounting students UPH again achieved in international competitions “CPA Australia Accounting Competition 2015”. Having won 3rd place in 2014, and again this year on August 29, 2015, with different teams won Champion Accounting student UPH won the 2nd place. This annual event is the third time and was organized by CPA Australia’s representative in Indonesia. CPA Australia is one of the Institute for the Accounting Profession with more than 150,000 members working in 121 countries around the world and serves 25,000 members of the leadership position. While the CPA itself is a term for a professional in the field of finance, accounting and business with certain qualifications. Being a CPA is a sign that a person has a very high professional competence in the field of accounting.

 

The competition aims to encourage and motivate the accounting students who have the capability, achievement and the desire to have a career in a global company, to maximize themselves becoming a professional in accounting and finance. This competition involves the universities and business schools in Indonesia. Under the guidance of lecturers, especially Mrs. Hanna SE, MM, Chief of Lab Accounting, Accounting Department UPH Business School sends three teams to participate in this competition, and finally 1 team of Chelsea (Accounting 2013), Eric Tjandra (Accounting 2013) and Monica Wangsaputra (Double Degree Information Systems and Accounting 2012) won 2nd place.
