Coinciding with 3rd years anniversary of ICS (International Community for Students), ICS held a Cultural Week 2015.
Coinciding with 3rd years anniversary of ICS (International Community for Students), Cultural Week 2015 was being held on a large scale and it was different from its previous birthday. Amanda (International Relations 2013), the head of ICS Cultural Week 2015, said that this event was made to introduce the whole UPH family to the existence of a community which connects local and international students in UPH, which is ICS. Aside from that, this event was also a form of effort in expressing cultural tolerance. There are so many cultures in Indonesia which could be exposed to the international world and vice versa. Also, Indonesians should at the very least, know about foreign culture appreciate it.
On September 21, 2015, a pre-event for ICS Cultural Week 2015 was held at the Caf? of Art Food Junction UPH. This pre-event was held as a notice to inform people that ICS would be held from September 28 ? October 2, 2015. For about 4 days, a series of events was held during this ICS Cultural week, such as flag parade, traditional clothing fashion show, Talk show by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Founder Ride for Peace and many other events. This pre-event was also enlivened by performance from UPH student?s bands and flash mobs from various countries by the committee. This pre-event was watched by every visitor of the UPH Food Junction which was estimated to be around 200 people. (fc/mv)
