UPH Faculty of Psychology Won 2nd Place In “Psyferia” Quiz Competition at Padjadjaran University

Quiz (cerdas cermat) Team of the Faculty of Psychology UPH makes another great achievement in Quiz Competition titled “Psyferia” organized by the Faculty of Psychology, University of Padjadjaran (Unpad) Bandung on 17 to 18 October 2015.

Psyferia is an event that focuses on the scientific development of Psychology through a series of competitions, which are held every year by BEM of the Faculty of Psychology Padjadjaran University, Bandung. Psyferia organized three competitions, namely quiz (cerdas cermat), short movie maker and a national debate with the theme: Education on Mental Health.

UPH sends two teams for Psyferia Quiz Competition, which is UPH Team A: Kevin Djasa (2012), Mathea Gioli F. (2013), and Nathania Vrischika (2014) and Tim UPH B: Tara Michelle P. (2012), Kenneth Tanaka (2014) and Christella Ruslan (2014). The materials that were covered in the quiz competition include the fields of general psychology, abnormal psychology, developmental psychology and health psychology.

Quiz Competition is divided into five rounds over two days. The first round until the third round are held on the first day to determine the top 5 with the highest score to pass into the next round. UPH B team made it as one of the top five and continues the game to the last round which is the final round of case study presentations. The three teams that made it to the final round consist of Padjadjaran University (Unpad) team A, Unpad team B and UPH team B. The last round of case study implemented by presenting participants with a movie titled “Mindscape” which is then accompanied by a presentation and analysis of each team. After passing through fierce rounds, finally Psyferia Quiz Competition was won by Unpad Team A as the number 1 champion, UPH team B as ^2nd champion, and Unpad team B as 3^rd champion.

This achievement is a continuation of previous achievements, achieved by Team of the Faculty of Psychology UPH as the 3^rd champion in the National Quiz “Psycompilation” at University of Maranatha Bandung on August 7 – 9 May 2015. The achievements of the Faculty of Psychology UPH continue to increase through exercise and preparation with the lecturers and Academic division of Psychology HMF.

“For us, the experience to join this competition is very beneficial, especially for self-development of each member of the team as well as to connect with other universities,” said Mathea, students of the faculty of Psychology who joined the competition in UPH Team A. (dk/ rh/Mf)
