UPH New Students Attended An Introduction Program With Faculty Members.

On the second day of UPH Festival 23, Friday, August 19, 2016, UPH new students attended an introduction program with faculty members, which was led by the dean of each faculty. The purpose of this event was to introduce the vision and mission of the faculty, curriculum, and learning systems which are very important for the new students. The dean also introduced faculty members, starting from the head of study program, lecturers, and administration director and faculty staff.

In this opportunity, rector and all vice president visited every faculty in order to get closer with the new students, and motivate them to study persistently, so that one day they will graduate and become blessings in their fields.

In this introduction session, there were some faculties which invited their alumni to give testimony. Some of them played a video about the history of their faculty, or documentations of many different student activities as well as faculty profile. Other than academic introduction, in this session the new students were also introduced to student activities units, such as Student Councils (HMJ), and other units that exist in the faculty.

Testimony of the New Students

?Before the presentation of faculty introduction began, I didn?t know anything about the content materials or even the learning system in university, let alone the subjects. After joining this session, I feel more grateful for joining School of Hospitality and Tourism (STPPH) in UPH, and I can?t wait to start studying here.?

Yoseph Dudedes Timba, STPPH student cohort 2016.

?I am very excited for being a student of School of Hospitality and Tourism (STPPH) in UPH, because this is my passion. I have known a few things about this field in advance, and I?m very interested to know more because there are many different activities and organizations that they have to offer.?

Feren Herianto, STPPH student cohort 2016.
