Accounting program, Business School of Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), Lippo Karawaci, again held its annual event ?UPH BUSINESS CHALLENGE SCHOOL ACCOUNTING? which was accounting competition for high school students. This time is the second year of the competition was held and opened for international schools.

UPH Accounting Challenge 2016 was held for 3 days, from October 19-21, 2016. There were 25 teams from 18 schools around Jabodetabek joined this competition, and 4 of them were International School. To accommodate the students from the international school, the committee prepared the questions in two languages (Indonesian and English).

In accordance with the purpose of this competition, the entire programs were designed to encourage the participants to study accounting in a fun, creative, and competitive way. There were four materials that were contested in this competition, Merchandising (Trading), Inventory, Receiveable and Visible Property. During this competition, participants could also attend the seminar together with accounting practitioners and the sharing session from the 2 winners of Accounting Challenge 2015.

?Through this competition, Business School wants to introduce the accounting field and cultivates students? interest. Through the seminar, students will get an overview of the professions in Accounting areas and understand the qualifications required for this profession,? said Tanggor Sihombing, Lecturer of UPH Business School and chairman of the committee.

This competition has consisted of three rounds, began with the individual test in the preliminary round, Wheel of Fortune in the semifinal, and two stages of the final round which were fast and accurate and presentations.

Come as the winners of ?UPH Business School Accounting Challange 2016?: The first place is SMK 14 Jakarta, the second place is the A team of SMAK Penabur 3 Jakarta. The winners got prize medals, certificates, and cash. (rh)
