The ‘On Campus Recruitment’ series which has been ongoing since September 2016 has finally ended by presenting PT Malindo Feedmil, Tbk as the latest company to provide sharing and conduct the recruitment session on November 18, 2016, at UPH Karawaci, Lippo Village, Tangerang.
Adi Utomo, Human Resources Director (HRD) of PT Malindo Feedmil, Tbk, brought the topic ?Career or Entrepreneurship?’ to be discussed during the sharing session.
“In the future, after you completed your studies, there are two main choices in life and that is either to choose a career in entrepreneurship? Two of them have certain differences,” asked Adi.
Adi explained the differences of the two. Basically, career helps us to learn and to improve ourselves and to obtain money at the end of the day. Unlike career, entrepreneurship is a good thing for both individually or in groups, which aims to obtain money as profit.

Career or entrepreneurship, both has differences in the steps which have to be taken in order to reach success. In career, we have to pass several steps, such as selection, adaptation, both to the new social environment as well as to adjust one’s previous knowledge with the needs of the said job. Then, the process continues with mapping, searching and implying solutions, evaluation, and improvisation. Improvisation means that we have to be both creative and innovative in our work. Then, to be an entrepreneur, the first step is to look for capital, then we have to decide the kind of business we are about to build, how to sell the products or services, we have to think about Capex or Capital Expenditure, the potential risks as well as business location. Moreover, each individual has to see the differences between career and Entrepreneurship. In a career, one will obtain a stable salary, a structured life and work, environment limited by job description, and they have to be consistent, on time but they have less risk while choosing entrepreneurship will most likely mean the opposite. “Regardless, none of these choices are better or worse. All is determined by the main goal or target that one wants to achieve. Therefore, set your goal, make some time until you are able to achieve those goals and of course, make a diversity of planning in your life,” Adi said. |
After the presentation, this last OCR was ended with an interview session for 17 participants, which includes last year students and also alumni, who want to apply for a variety of positions offered by Malindo, such as Purchasing, Finance Team, Audit Internal, Quality Control, GA Staff, IT Staff, Project Staff, Recruitment Staff, Legal Staff and many more.
