The seminars & training were a continuation of two previous seminars held in February (basic) & July (intermediate) 2010. This activity was held for two days, consisting of seminars and trainings On the first day, there were three speakers: Mrs. Luki Wijaya (head of the University Library of Indonesia), Mrs. Ailien Diao (head of the Library of Unika Atma Jaya) and Mr Romi Satria Wahono (CEO PT.Brainmatics, ilmukomputer.com). The first session discussed the topic of library 2.0, as a form of utilization of IT & Information Literacy, which was delivered by Mr Romi Satria Wahono . The second session of discussing the strategic role of librarians in IT-based Information Literacy, hosted by Mrs. Ailien Diao. The third and final session discussed the integration of IT & Information Literacy presented by Mrs. Luki Wijaya. The second day program was a training on the introduction and use of Moodle as an application supporting the teaching of Information Literacy. The training was divided into two sessions that discussed the Moodle in sufficient depth. To support the participant in learning the aplication, Moodle installation CD was also provided which can be used participants in their respective institutions. The seminars and training aims were to enhance the role of libraries and librarians in serving and “educate” its users. As many as 85 participants attended this program and they were very enthusiastic. They were not only from the Jabodetabek area alone, but some were coming from various regions in Indonesia such as Aceh, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, etc..(nov) UPH Media Relations |
