Sprow is teaching International Economics course
Sprow teaches International Economics and Globalization subjects. Both courses provide an overview to the students to understand how the world economy works. Starting from interstate commerce, the basic principles of world trade, the trade specialization of each country, to the banking sector. He said the importance of studying all of this because, “If you want to do business nowadays, you must compete with the entire world due to globalization.”
Ozmun teaches course in Script Writing. He tells the most effective ways to communicate through the media of television and radio by writing. “We write differently for electronic and print media. Television and radio are the media which are primarily entertainment, but there is news in the media. So to make people want to pay attention to the news, we must make it as interesting as possible,” said Ozmun.
Of course they do not just deliver a theory, but always connect with current events. Sprow gave examples, “For instance the case of Nike. I invite students to analyze that by being unfair to the employees, Nike will lose popularity? Why?” Final project also had to be the most recent events. “I asked the students to make a documentary. Whether the specific issue, event, or people that is in the public discussion. I want them to keep up to what?s going on in the newspaper,” said Ozmun. (cyn)
