One of the institutions which connects the ideas between?business and education world is KADIN?s Permanent Committee on Education Training and Apprenticeship which has just been developed recently. The Chairman of Permanent Committee on Education Training and Apprenticeship of KADIN Indonesia also The Chief Stategy Consultant of ARRBEY, Handito Joewono, stated in the talkshow aired in Trijaya FM on Tuesday (21/04), one of the purpose of the committee is to facilitate the synergy between colleges and the business world. The availability of the committee should help bring about the idea to implementation, and that would eventually fulfill the society?s aspirations.
Resuming the talkshow,?UPH Business School alongside with The Permanent Committee on Education Training and Apprenticeship of KADIN Indonesia, held a seminar?discussing about the importance of value innovations in facing the market?s tight competitions during the global crisis.
Both speakers, The Dean of UPH Business School, Roy Sembel and?Handito Joewono,?explained the importance of applying creative ideas for Indonesia?s market world.
Roy asserted that creativity and innovation should be side by side with value. ?Innovation basically can be a benefit as well as destruction. Atomic bomb, for instance, if used wisely it can give advantage in reserving energy, but if used wrongly it could result in Hiroshima and Nagasaki,? he said. Therefore, he added, the innovations created and developed must be equipped with holistic intelligence.
Innovation could not be applied if there were no initiatives from the government, moreover if there were no parties stand as bridges for the creative ideas? creator and the executors in the business world. On the matter, Senior Advisor of UPH Business School, Adrianus Mooy, asserted that the government?s bureaucracy should be reformed in order to fulfill the society?s increasing aspiration needs. ?Our government?s bureaucracy is too extent for the application of the creative ideas. Government should understand the society?s aspiration,? he said.
Mooy explained that there are some innovative ideas applied such as one stop service. However, some others have not yet. He suggested an innovative idea for downloadable tax forms through the internet to give easier way for the society to fulfill their tax obligations.
In response to the idea of connecting innovative ideas from students with the business world, Roy stated, ?Actually there had been quite a lot innovative ideas which stop only at the educational level. If practiced in the business world they could give benefits to many people.?
