Dr. Monique van Bruggen-Rufi from ArtEZ University of Arts (Netherlands) will be speaking about Neurologic Music Therapy and her work with patients with neurological disease, including dementia. She is a Neurologic Music Therapist Fellow and the?Manager of ArtEZ MA Music Therapy programme. Monique has practiced music therapy since 2005 and?worked with traumatized adolescents with cognitive?impairments. After completing her PhD on?music?therapy?and?Huntington’s Disease, she is currently developing a?PostDoc research on how to implement music (therapy) in the?care and wellbeing of?(traumatized) elderly from the former Dutch?Indies.?Join us in this opportunity to learn how music can improve our lives.
