The collection of Triennale, the triennial event of UPH Architecture 2015: Waktu adalah Ruang on July 25-August 8, 2015 has ended in big success. Since the opening on Saturday, July 25, 2015, this exhibition has attracted architects, architecture students, public, and mass media. Other than students? art pieces exhibition, there were 17 architecture discussions with various interesting topics and local and foreign architects as speakers.

The exhibition, which was collaboration between UPH Architecture and Anabata at Tjipta Niaga Building, Kota Tua closed with Anabata Live Series 1 that presented Budi Pradono and Junya Ishigami, a young Japanese architects as speakers. The speakers presented about their designs to motivate the 300 participants to learn about the concept and the process of the designs.

Expats pay a visit on Triennale exhibition

Enthusiasm from visitors at Triennale was proven with the total of 4000 persons visiting during the whole two weeks. According to Denna Fascia, publication committee, this event has been executed well and achieved positive responses from many people. The architects event said that this event is one of the best that ever been held, from the preparation to curation. ?We do not only present the designed art pieces we also present the curation, so that all the artpieces can be combined into one story,? she explained. From technological side, the technology of UPH Architecture is very innovative and modern to be compared with other universities. The tools used such as laser cut, 3D print, and software or other digital design.

Anabata as the event planner and promoter has been very helpful to Triennale. The collaboration, supports, and hard work from JOTRC, UPH Architecture lecturers and student body committee, and curator team which consists of Robin Hartanto, Fernisia Winnerdy, and Andreas Yanuar also played a big role in the succession of Triennale.

The benefit of this event is that the exhibited art pieces can be known well by public. Public can also learn the learning process and the result.

UPH holds this event once in three years. Thus, there will be no supporting events in mean time. ?Hopefully in next three years, the juniors in UPH Architecture can support and participate in this triennial event.
