There are various ways to commemorate Heroes? Day. One of the ways is by sharing motivations to raise a fighting spirit through an event hosted by the UPH students called ?UPH Cares the Indonesian Children?s Education? at Sekolah Lentera Harapan (SLH) Curug, Tangerang on 10th November, 2014. Several talented and accomplished students of UPH came to share their experiences in developing their talents while at the same time, putting academic responsibility as their priority.

Those talented and accomplished UPH students are Echa Soemantri (professional musician) a student of the Faculty of Music UPH, Cio Manuputty (national basketball player) a student of Communication Sciences UPH, and Clarissa Angelica (Runner Up Miss UPH 2014) a student of Communication Sciences UPH. They shared several tips on how to efficiently manage time between learning and non-academic activities that suit their interests and talents, as well as the importance to always act and think positive. SLH students are motivated to explore their hidden potentials and talents,  and to diligently hone those talents to evolve them and improve their self-quality. Thus, one day, students will be able to contribute to others and even to the larger community.

Carrying the theme “Telling HIS Story”, which is the theme of the 20th Anniversary of UPH, this event would also like to invite SLH students to always be faithful to God in everything they do, as well as in developing their talents and potentials. Through this Testimonial Sharing event, it is expected that the integrity of UPH students could be passed on to the students in terms of knowledge, faith and character.

“The nation needs leader candidates who are not only intelligent but also got a noble character. And that is why faith should be the paramount in education. This ?UPH Cares? event is part of the character formation committed by the UPH students. Through this program, we hope to have a positive impact on the communities,? Kusuma Wardani, Manager of Service Learning Division UPH, asserted while accompanying students in this event.
