Participants of Business School Summer Program 2014

UPH Business School held Summer Program 2014 in June 16 to 18. There were 24 students from Junior and Senior High school from several cities of Indonesia followed this event. Business School Summer Program 2014 was made to illustrate the university life to students, especially in matter of business school.

Series of event following this program were lecture sessions with lecturers from UPH Business School, field trip and workshop. The lecture session provides students the knowledge they need about careers in business and an introduction to basic accounting. Students were also trained to do public speaking through a public speaking class by Mr. Roy Ronduwu. These students were divided into several groups to do a speaking simulation in front of the class about the reasons for choosing to study at UPH.

After that, students followed another lecture session on entrepreneur by Ms. Patricia. In this session, student were taught about the definition of an entrepreneur, reasons why would someone want to be an entrepreneur and the requirements needed to become a successful entrepreneur.

In the field trip, students were able to see the direct business processes of Nobu Bank, in which previously, students have been given a lecture session on banking by Nobu Bank?s representative. In addition, the trip continued to the residences around Lippo Village that is integrated with the university, hospital, sport club and other facilities. This field trip aimed to show UPH students everyday life. Students were also given the chance to meet successful alumni to obtain inspiration and motivation.
