Student Senate Faculty (SMF) Psychology UPH conducted the 5th Psychology Village on 22 until 28 March 2014. The biggest event from UPH Faculty of Psychology is held annually with the aim of introducing the existence of UPH Faculty of Psychology to the public, establishing a good relationship with fellow psychology students from various university in Indonesia and giving practical effect to the society through psychological principals as knowledge.
This year?s theme is ?Apprentice?, Applying Transformational Psychology Within Industrial Perspective. According to Tara Michelle, leader of Psychology Village 5, ?Through this event, we want to introduce the broad topic of psychology, not always talking about psychological issues. Psychology is actually very substantial and needed in industrial world. Other than that, we also want to put forward integrated transformational psychology where every industry needs to see its employees? welfare and not only see the profit?.
The programs from Psychology Village 5 include university level debate competition, seminar, music performance, futsal friendly competition as well as non-food bazaar.

The debate competition took place from 26 until 27 March 2014. This activity is always a part of Psychology Village since three years ago. There were 19 teams from 10 different university in Indonesia participating in the competition. After passing through three pre-elimination round , 8 teams were chosen to move forward to the quarter final round. Following the quarter final round, University of Ciputra (UC), University of Indonesia (UI), University of Achmad Dahlan (UAD) and University of Bina Nusantara (Binus) successfully earned their place in the semi final round.
A group of juries consisting of a lecturer from the psychology faculty, lecturer or practitioner of psychology outside UPH and representation from Indodebaters (forum with students who are debate enthusiasts) will assess participants. The first pair in the semifinal was UAD and UI. Followed by Binus and UC as the second pair. UI and UC were the two strongest teams from this competition succeeded in continuing to the final, which was held on Thursday (27/3) at 15.00 in MYC MPR, UPH.

The final round took the topic of proportional payroll given to employees in accordance to their work performance. UI was the affirmative team while UC was the negative team of this topic. Each teams gave very strong arguments and rebuttals making it a very difficult decision for the jury. In the end, first place of the debate competition was earned by the affirmative team, which is University of Indonesia with University of Ciputra securing second place.
