UPH Business School and Lippo Group held a Student-Industry Relations Activity ?Job Placement?

UPH Business School cooperated with PT. Lippo Karawaci, Tbk, and PT. Bank National Nobu to hold a Student-Industry Relations Activity ?Job Placement? event at MYC Multipurpose Room in UPH Campus on Monday, 14^th April, 2014. This Recruitment Campus event is to arrange a meeting between companies of Lippo Group with UPH students that are on their final semester and UPH Alumni that are ready to enter the workplace. This event includes psychology test, presentation from both companies, and interviews.

This event ran from 08.00 am to 04.00 pm followed by 23 participants from UPH Business School. At the beginning of this event, participants had to do a psychology test at 4^th floor in Johanes Oentoro Library UPH Campus from 08.00 am to 09.00am. After the psychology test, the participants returned to MYC Multipurpose room to hear presentations from both companies. This presentation was to introduce the company profile briefly, human resource procedure, and career opportunity offers from each company.

Grace Salim as the Director of Faculty Administration of UPH Business School has encouraged students to make used of this opportunity really well, and if they have succeeded the selection process, they should give their best to work, learn as much as they can, and always be consistent in their work progress. Furthermore, for additional knowledge, Toto Bartholomeus as the Director of PT Lippo Group Corporate gave an explanation about Lippo Group Corporate in global.

The President Director of PT. Bank National Nobu,Tbk, Suhaimin Djohan, also had the opportunity to give an explanation about NOBU Bank profile, achievements, and career opportunity offers in the bank industry. NOBU Bank is currently a developing company that is focusing to achieve full nationwide banking. ?We are now focusing to make a progress in East Indonesia. Until now we have 72 branches in 32 provinces. There are still nine more provinces that NOBU Bank tries to reach. Our target is to have 100 branches in 33 provinces,? explained Suhaimin.  

Career development program was explained by Januar Angkawidjaja as the Director of PT. Bank National Nobu, Tbk, followed by a testimonial from Edo Adrian who works in E-Channels Development NOBU Bank and was also Alumni from UPH Management 2008. ?Previously, I was not confidence to work in a bank industry, because I dont have any knowledge background about it. But after been working for two years, I have learnt a lot here, been participating directly in a project, and one thing made me comfortable working here is the working environment that is very friendly?, said edo.

After the presentations brought by these two companies, a formal agreement that symbolized their cooperation was officially stated by signing the MOU. There was also an interview session between the participants with PT. Lippo Karawaci, Tbk and PT. Bank National Nobu companies, and in the end was the announcement of participant names that have succeeded this selection. (ca/au)
