?Indonesia 2045? becomes the topic discussed by Agus Yudhoyono in front of the new 2500 UPH students. His presence as one of the speakers at UPH Festival 20 is to give motivations and encouragement to the students as the young generation in spirit of the Indonesia Independence Day.

Agus Yudhoyono began his lecture by asking the UPH Festival 20 participants to imagine the future of Indonesia in the next 32 years. Agus started with the history of when Indonesia gained its independency, then the fall and the rise of the political and economy situation, and finally to the current year of 2013. He asked the students to reflect whether our spirit has been decreasing compared to the 1980s era, and what changes should be done in order to make Indonesia more advance.

?The journey is not a sprint one, but a marathon, if you want to go far, you have to go together,? he said. He also added to never give up and to never stop enrich one self, ?Use your time as best as you can here in this good campus to get a lot of knowledge, experience from every people you meet.?

To the students, he encouraged to practice an excel culture; always want to be the best with the best methods and to be attentive towards any open opportunities. ?Furthermore, to be a sophisticated individual for a definite progress in Indonesia, we have to be able to adapt with uncertainties. Remember, we live in an era of uncertainties; the 21st century is full of changes and uncertainties. Let?s be adaptive to face it all,? he said.

To be a better person, one must be willing to get out of the comfort zone so a person can grow. According to Agus, who is the son of the Indonesia President ? Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, we need to be able to change obstacles into opportunities. And last, we also need leadership value: visionary ? to be able to see far into future but still able to do small actions, started from now.

Agus Yudhoyono closed the lecture with his personal motto, ?Think Big, Do Small, Do Now,? which means to achieve the goals that have been set before, thus, we could reach higher for a better Indonesia. (YM)
