Dr. Mochtar Riady?s Cup: National Legal Debate and Legal Expo

 ?This kind of competition is really an expression of the values and the vision of this university. We are committed to produce quality leaders that make a difference in the society,? told UPH Vice President Dr. J. Kirk Kauffeldt, Ed.D. about the event. ?It is important that we are able to analyze what is happened and think and make critical judgments,? he added.

Dr. Mochtar Riady, the founder of Lippo Group, in his opening speech told the participants, ?to implement the law properly, a person must first be able to take care one?s family.? To be able to do that, a person also must be able to manage oneself. In his speech, he also mentioned that a person that survives with debts is a poor person. What it takes to be successful is hard work and honesty.

At the opening ceremony, representatives from Universitas Airlangga, as the winner of the last Dr. Mochtar Riady?s Cup handed the trophy to Dr. Mochtar Riady. In this event, each law firm also gave a presentation to inform the law students about law and its career path. (dee)
