An orchestra is easily identified with luxury, tuxedo, and classiness. ?We want to make something different,? said the conductor of Sa?Unine, Oni Krisnerwinto who came to perform with his orchestra at UPH garden on Monday, November 7, 2011. This unique group came all the way from Yogyakarta to UPH to perform various Indonesian folksongs in a classical and unusual way. Starting from 4 p.m., the group captivated the students and staffs who passed by the garden of UPH. The group transformed the so-called dull classical music into something fun and interesting. Performed in a unique way, several familiar Indonesian songs were heard across the campus. ?We perform classical music in casual and fun way. We also rearranged the Indonesian songs for orchestra,? explained Oni. Explaining his reason in choosing UPH as one of the place to perform, Oni said, ?UPH has Conservatory of Music so we want to share with the students here.? With 45 members, Sa?Unine has traveled to many cities across Indonesia to promote their second album entitled ?Buaian Sepanjang Masa.? As a part of their city tour, they also would perform in a concert on November 11-12, 2011 at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta entitled ?Konser Orkes Geseknya Indonesia 2011 ? Sau?Unine String Orchestra.?
