UPH Festival 18: 500 People Participated in Bike in Harmony

The last day of UPH Festival 18, Saturday, August 6, 2011 was enlivened by Bike in Harmony event, attended by more than 500 people.

The last day of UPH Festival 18, Saturday, August 6, 2011 was enlivened by Bike in Harmony event, attended by more than 500 people. Participants came from all ages, from children to adults. This event was held at Lippo Village Formula International Circuit.

This first biking event held by UPH offers two routes. Family Track offered maximum duration of one hour and has no specific age limit. The second route is Harmony Track with maximum duration of two hours. Participants must be at least 12 years old and must wear a safety helmet.

The preparation of this program took approximately two months. Bike in Harmony was held in cooperation with three stakeholders; UPH, TMD Lippo Village, and Polygon. This event supported TMD?s Zero Carbon campaign and encouraged cycling activity.

“This event is really good, but still needs improvement because this is the first time at UPH,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Manlian A. Ronald, MT, IAI as the head of the Bike in Harmony event. Many people were interested in joining the event as UPH opened this to public. In addition to the fun bike activity, BMX attractions also attracted many people. (vgr)
