| Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) in cooperation with the Indonesian Olympic Committee (Komite Olimpiade Indonesia ? KOI) held the Olympic Day Run, Saturday ? June 19, 2010 at UPH. This 5K marathon took the route from UPH field until around Lippo Karawaci. This event was followed by almost one thousand participants. |

This event, which has been held for almost 20 years around the world, was also followed by national athletes. According to Dedeh Erawati, a 100-meter jump hurdle athlete, this kind of event should be held more often on campuses. ?In this advanced and modern era, we expect to see a lot of new athletes, especially from campuses. According to him, there are still a lot of sports in which Indonesia can excell, such as badminton, archery, and weight lifting. ?UPH is very supportive towards sports; it is realized in the partnerships with KOI and KONI (Indonesian National Sports Committee).
