Harapan Bangsa School team is the winner of this competition.
The Champion – Harapan Bangsa School team made a spaghetti bridge that can hold the weight up to 4 kg. “We practice more than a year with the help of our teachers in schools. We also use the vector theory (physics) which taught at school,” said Abyantar Hugo Baskoro, one of the team members.
Reliability Testing of Spaghetti Bridge – The assessment criteria in Spaghetti Bridge Competition 2009 consist of 4 things: aesthetics, compatibility with the design, the bridge structure, and efficiency performance of the bridge.
Kalam Kudus II Christian High School – Although they are not successfully defending the trophy rotation, Kalam Kudus II Christian High School won two championships of the 5th Spaghetti Bridge Competition. First winner achieved by Harapan Bangsa High School (95.77), second winner is Kalam Kudus Christian High School Team 5 (95.11), and third winner is Kalam Kudus II Christian High School Team 1 (97.7).
“Architecture is focusing on the beauty of the building, but the civil engineers must also take into account the durability of the building until the construction management,” said Jack Widodo, Chairman of UPH Department of Civil Engineering. (sar/cyn)
