Computer Science Student Organization cooperated with the Computer Science Department to hold a seminar and workshop entitled ?Secure Computer? on January 29 2009.
Computer and internet network usage has been part of our daily activities. Unfortunately, there are irresponsible people who use the internet connection to do bad things we do not expect such as sending unwanted advertisements, inserting data-corrupting virus into our computer, stealing our data, etc. Therefore, the knowledge and basic skills to secure personal or office computer is essential for every computer user.
Because of that reason, the Computer Science Student Organization cooperated with the Computer Science Department to hold a seminar and workshop entitled ?Secure Computer? on January 29 2009.
The seminar was attended by university students and the public. Hopefully, through this seminar and workshop, computer users will obtain the basic knowledge about good and safe internet network as well as the basic skills to handle general computer network troubles.
