| This year, UPH presented the annual Gala Concert as one of the events celebrated at UPH Festival 18 at Grand Chapel on Thursday, August 5, 2011. The concert presented by Conservatory of Music was entitled ?The Classical Harmony.? Approximately 2000 people attended the concert.
Started at 6 p.m., ?The Classical Harmony? featured a series of talented classical musicians such as Tomislav Dimov, Vania Larisa, Michelle Siswanto, also lecturers from UPH Conservatory of Music Kazuha Nakahara and Delima Simamora. 60 orchestra players performed various repertoires under the direction of music conductor Ridolf Hehanussa who is also the Dean of Conservatory of Music UPH. Ridolf Hehanussa said that he was very pleased with the concert. ?Gala Concert is an extraordinary and high qualified event. I am glad having the opportunity to bring the Pavarotti?s student, Fabio Andreotti, to this concert. Although Pavarotti has already passed away, we can still listen to his copy.? Fabio Andreotti mentioned his pleasure to perform at UPH. He said that UPH musicians, performers, soloists, and conductor are as good as those in his country. (cm) UPH Media Relations |
